With July being some of the most amazing weather that we have seen, was it too much to hope for the same on the first weekend in August? Apparently it was. But let me tell you what made it all worth it. This line up of bands on Aug 7-9, not only failed to complain about the heat, but they pulled off great shows that inspired on lookers to spend more time sweating then they would normally have tolerated. I felt like the water boy providing a whole lot of quality H2O. Hat Triq, a band of kids from age 10-13, ripped up some classic tunes from bands with members that died before these guys were born. The crowd loved them and I was impressed as the 2 regular guitar players switched back and forth on bass to fill in for the bass player away on vacation, or camp, or soccer, or something. Peanut Butter Hamster, also found people gathering around to enjoy a fresh concept of playing childrens music with influences from some of my favorite classic rock groups. The combination of appealing to adults while engaging children could knock The Wiggles off their down under. And then came some of my favorite artists and people to work with. The Mikey Needleman Band and the Nick Nave / Chris Accardo Project. What I love about those 2 groups is their authentic nature that comes along with heat waves of talent. (bad pun). Another cool act that we grabbed passing thru town was Justin Branam from Nashville. Justin’s folk rock style of songs were well written and sung with a smooth John Mayer like vocal. Of course don’t forget everybodies favorite children’s band The Doo Dads who started off Saturday morning and the alternative and current rock band Lipriddle who kicked off Friday evening. Both sounded great.
The crew at Generation Relevant was thrilled to be part of this event and we appreciate the hospitality and help that came from Summit Fair and Red Development. Cassie, Amy, Josh and the rest of the crew are great team of people to work with.

We were absolutely thrilled to be a part of the Summit Fair ‘Back To School Bash’. Had it not been for this event, Peanut Butter Hamster would probably not exist! The request to provide quality family-friendly entertainment for this event is how this concept for PBH was born, and we would like to thank you for the opportunity!
